Job Title Digital Marketing Specialist

Overview The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving the school’s website and utilizing all forms of digital communications to promote and market The Pembroke Hill School. This individual must be creative, detailed oriented and able to handle multiple projects. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who possesses skills in website management and current and emerging web technologies including social media.  

Responsibilities Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Maintain the school’s website from both an operational and content perspective.
2. Produce short videos and write website postings. Use these to highlight and market PHS in all forms of digital and print media.
3. Manage Pembroke Hill’s social media plan and social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and other emerging channels.
4. Utilize search engine optimization and other methods to assure PHS stays visible when searching the web.
5. Identify digital marketing opportunities.
6. Serve as a liaison to the school’s website provider and train website users.
7. Seek out photo and video opportunities and capture images that showcase creative and interesting activities as well as diverse images that will keep current and prospective families engaged in PHS.
8. Create promotional materials using Adobe design and related software. Assure that design and layout are high quality and have a professional appearance to highlight the culture and expectations of the School.
9. Serve as spokesperson for the school to media, when appropriate.
10. Coordinate and serve as adviser to the school’s student social media committee.

Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field. Min. 1-3 years experience coordinating website, electronic communications and social media. Experience in electronic communications/social media, digital advertising and its effective use in communications and marketing. Experience in website technologies and website development. Basic understanding of HTML helpful. Experience in video production and photography.  Ability to work independently and in team situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
