Job Title Marketing & Public Relations Business Partner
Overview
The Marketing & Public Relations (PR) Business Partner will lead strategy for assigned business units within the firm to build brand awareness and connect marketing to sales. The Business Partner will also develop the public relations strategy and manage media relations, as part of a comprehensive content marketing strategy for our owned and earned media channels.
Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive strategy to achieve marketing and PR goals for the assigned business units.
Develop strategies that position Burns & McDonnell as a thought leader for the industry.
Manage all marketing and public relations activities including webinars, conferences, speaking opportunities and events.
Serve as the account manager for the business unit liaison to lead all projects and coordinate all needed collaborations between the business unit and marketing team.
Identify and project manage the development of all campaign materials such as blogs, news releases, articles, white papers and videos.
Lead development of all sales collateral with a digital-first approach.
Ensure marketing and public relations activities are consistent with brand strategies.
Generate holistic campaigns that engage with our target audience and generate leads for projects.
Build relationships with news editors of key media outlets, including trade and business outlets.
Develop, manage and evaluate digital and print advertising opportunities for the business unit.
Collaborate closely with our managing editor and writers to develop strategies for content marketing and thought leadership for owned and earned media channels.
Collaborate closely with the fellow Marketing and PR Business Partners to promote holistic strategies, best practices and efficiencies.
Develop an awards strategy for the business unit to promote our people and projects.
Manage and review analytics to inform future strategies and communicate performance in a clear and understandable way to clients.
Proactively identify new marketing and PR opportunities and approaches to provide best in class service to clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related degree.
Minimum of seven years of experience working in marketing and/or public relations.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent client service skills.
Experience as a marketing and/or public relations strategist.
Ability to develop and manage strategic and innovative marketing and public relations strategies.
Ability to build strong relationships within our department and firm.
A self-starter with strong project management, collaboration and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly present complex information.
Experience in a marketing and PR agency a plus.
