Black & Veatch Management Consulting seeks a Marketing and Communication Specialist 3

Overview: 
The Marketing & Communications Specialist 3 will drive and support internal and external marketing and communications for Management Consulting, including execution of pursuit win strategies including proposal content. Working with minimal supervision, this role will have responsibility for varied projects, which could include but not limited to: written and verbal communications content and collateral; marketing programs and initiatives; proposal content creation and client presentations; branding strategy, guidelines and procedures; and, event management and execution. This role will actively participate in strategy meetings and support the proposal process from identification through debrief, collaborating with the team in best practices for document layout and production, develops custom graphics and generates compelling written content. To be successful in this role, the professional will need to quickly gain an understanding of the strategy/vision of Black & Veatch Management Consulting as well as how that integrates into other Black & Veatch business units and be proactive in collaborating across the company.

Responsibilities: 
•Edit, proofread and write copy, articles, web content, marketing collateral, internal/external publications, news releases, social media and video copy including researching and verifying the authenticity of material and validating content accuracy, style, grammar, spelling, and syntax punctuation
• Work closely with team leaders, management and executives to develop communication and marketing schedules, milestones, and priorities
• Write or lead development of content for internal and external communications materials
• Contribute to the planning for effective development and implementation of long-term marketing projects and programs
• Assist in coordination of layout, artwork, and progress thru production of marketing materials
• Lead development and implementation of pursuit plans required for statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations and other proposal-related collateral
• Interact with internal and external sources to develop proposal content, winning messages and themes in accordance with brand standard
• Drive pursuit milestones and priorities
• Edit and proofread submittal documents and presentations
• Write/develop multiple non-technical sections and ensure external messages are tailored throughout proposals
• Provide input to improve messaging and readability of content; Develop/coordinate layout and artwork
• Participate in development, research and implementation of the brand framework as well as new/changing brand guidelines and procedures
• Collaborate with corporate and other business units in development of brand plans in support of sales efforts and objectives including market awareness, market penetration and motivation, lead generation, sales support
• Research, develop and implement best practices for event strategy for Management Consulting
• Provide cost effective and successful meeting/event planning

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field; or equivalent experience; at least 6 years of corporate marketing and communications with at least 2 years of proposal development and execution; demonstrated ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; ability to travel up to 10%
