Overview
Are you an experienced copywriter who understands healthcare, marketing and how to engage with a wide range of audiences? Dobies Health Marketing, a healthcare-specialized marketing, branding and advertising firm in Kansas City, is seeking a talented writer for part-time employment. This position will be responsible for writing B2C and B2B content across a variety of channels, including web, video, social media, news/PR, print and more. We are looking for a writer with proven versatility – someone who enjoys the challenge of pivoting from creative copy to web writing, white paper development, blogging/social media, etc. as needed to excel across a diverse portfolio of healthcare marketing projects. The right candidate will be naturally curious and intuitive, capable of quickly connecting dots between strategy and promotions, and ready to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven remote environment. He or she must also have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years’ experience in both B2B and B2C healthcare content development.
Responsibilities
Strong writing skills; able to write compelling copy that connects closely to the specific strategy, objectives and audiences of each piece with minimal revisions needed
The ability to manage multiple assignments at once, requiring a proven ability to “change hats” quickly as audiences and objectives vary across projects
Versatility and writing strength across media, including but not limited to web copy, creative campaigns, press releases, video scripts, social media, white papers, case studies, etc.
Self-sufficiency to carry the provided concepts and content direction forward into finely tuned final deliverables
Ability to learn about new topics quickly; exhibiting active listening skills and a passion for making healthcare brands come to life
Knowledge of and experience in effective SEO/SEM and social media content strategies
Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability strategically synthesize complex topics into easily consumable, audience-centric copy
Strong self-management skills – well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines and communicating effectively in a remote working environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years’ experience in both B2B and B2C healthcare content development.
