Job Title Marketing/Communications Associate

Overview
Knox Presbyterian Church in Overland Park is seeking a creative, innovative, flexible individual who has a strong Christian faith for its newly created part-time Marketing/Communications Associate position.

Responsibilities
This part-time person will lead the church’s social media presence (which needs some professional leadership) and create strategies and tactics that drive non-members to our events, our website, and our Saturday and Sunday services. This is a part-time staff position, rather than freelance, but the expected number of hours in the office is minimal and negotiable. This would be ideal for someone who wants very part-time work or who needs to supplement his or her income with another position.

Qualifications

  • Associate should be an individual of Christian faith.

  • Familiar with, and proficient in, numerous social media platforms. Specifically, how to post, distribute and manage social media messages.

  • Familiar with Squarespace and WordPress applications.

  • Writing experience. Advertising copywriting experience and/or experience writing for nonprofit organizations a plus.

  • Skills, both verbal and written promoting both internal and external church events.

  • Associate should have good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with other staff and teams.

  • Personal organizational skills are needed to manage weekly tasks.

  • Associate should have a keen attention to detail.

  • Associate will work in tandem with Head of Staff and Marketing and Communications Team.

Salary Information
$24,000 annually
