The USDA’s, Economic Research Service is seeking a public affair’s specialist. This position is located within the Publishing Services Branch of USDA's Economic Research Service in Kansas City. Duties include reviewing/editing economic reports, research and other written materials and assigning work to other editors on the team.
Responsibilities
Reviews the final publication to ensure it is free of bias or institutionalized discrimination and that it reflects and promotes cultural diversity.
Uses a variety of methods, techniques, and vehicles in achieving communication goals.
Works closely with economics experts to develop and produce a well-rounded body of work through strategic communication planning.
Assigns work to editors and electronic publication specialists.
Qualifications
Experience planning and managing of communications programs; advising on strategies in conveying information and educating the public; and developing content for strategic external communication plans or other written materials for an organization.
Salary $92,159 to $119,810 per year
