Job Title Creative Marketing Specialist

Overview
We are currently looking for a Creative Marketing Specialist to join the nbkc team. We’re seeking a curious, self-motivated marketing professional that can contribute to a variety of marketing needs including social media/online community management, and development of creative materials, with a focus on internal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Creates original content for external audiences, including company website, and social media

  • Develops ideas, interviews subject matter experts, obtains approvals, and performs layout of publications, maintains the distribution lists, and works with staff as needed

  • Conceptualizing, designing, editing and assisting with requests for print and digital collateral for internal and external use while adhering to compliance and brand guidelines

  • Ensures creative marketing materials are regularly reviewed and refreshed.

  • Responsible for working with a wide range of media and use of graphic design software

  • Develops and provides day-to-day management of nbkc’s internal communication content including newsletters, blogs, emails, announcements, resource center website, video, etc., that clearly and effectively articulates nbkc’s employment brand and ensures organizational consistency.

  • Manages organic social media presence, and regular maintenance of bank social profiles.

  • Management of the bank’s online community management process. Manages response to online consumer inquiries and reviews and manages the internal escalation process with internal business partners.

  • In concert with the Marketing Operations Specialist, manages marketing software tools including Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Mailchimp, TotalExpert, and ReviewTrackers.

  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to evaluate choices critically, with the customer needs in mind

  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative; experience writing captivating content ranging from executive communications and newsletters to talking points and articles

  • Excellent oral, listening, interpersonal, presentation, organization, time management, planning, project and problem-solving skills

  • Experience communicating effectively to a variety of audiences by understanding their unique needs and desires

  • Ability to create and use surveys, verbal feedback mechanisms, focus groups, and other communication measurement tools to adjust and improve communications

  • Experience creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement

  • High attention to detail and proofreading skills, ability to exercise good judgement and proven ability to manage several projects concurrently with time constraints

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web specifications.

  • Ability to work methodically and meet both review and final deadlines by planning concepts based off of project brief and resource materials.
