This annual event is our opportunity to lend marketing insights to worthy non-profit agencies.

The Gift of Communications is our opportunity to spend a few hours with worthy nonprofit agencies, sharing our expertise to help guide their communications strategies and tactics for the coming year.

Nonprofit partners for 2019

This year we’ll be helping After Action NetworkSunflower House and Sleepyhead Beds. Each agency will do a short presentation about their mission in our community and their communications needs. We will then break into small groups to meet informally with the agency leaders to brainstorm ideas about low-cost strategies, programs and tactics that have proven value.

Why the Gift of Communications?

As professional communicators, many of us specialize in a particular aspect of our profession – strategic planning, project management, writing, editing, social media, web development, photography, videography, public relations, team management or another role.

For many small nonprofits in our community, a single person may need to take on all of those roles and others, such as executive director, fundraiser, financial manager and more. They do all of this on a limited budget, often with mostly volunteer help.

The Gift of Communications is a long-standing annual tradition for our chapter and for IABC International. This event is free to KC IABC members and our guests. Light snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) will be served.

The KCIABC Gift of Communications is a great way to get a jump start on the holiday season by giving your time and talents to worthy nonprofit partners.

Don’t miss it! See you on Thursday, Nov. 14.
