Keep growing in your professional skills and stay connected to KC communicators.
Amanda Fischer-Penner
KC IABC President
I hope this note finds you well. It has been an unprecedented time and quite the whirlwind. If you are like me, you have experienced a roller coaster of anxiety and emotions. Yet we will not let this hold us back. We will continue to persevere and become stronger together.
It is with this attitude I am proud to say that, for the time being, KC IABC is moving our events to a virtual platform.
This change not only ensures you can continue receiving quality professional development and networking, but also allows more people to join us from the comfort of their own homes. … potentially in their pajamas. (Nobody will ever know, and we wouldn’t tell!)
We kicked this change off with special interest group IndyComm’s March 24 meeting. Twenty-four people joined presenter Dawn Zerbs plus moderator and IndyComm Director Adam Herbig for an insightful presentation and discussion.
We are now moving full speed ahead.
Virtual details for these upcoming events are still being created, but please go ahead and mark your calendars. Then, watch for emails from us with registration information or visit www.kciabc.com.
Virtual Happy Hour – Thursday, April 9, 4:30-6 p.m.
Webinar Thursday, April 16, 7:30 a.m., “The Anatomy of a Lifestyle Brand – The Creation of Artify Life” presented by Adam Herbig
Virtual Masters Dinner Tuesday, April 28, 6-7 p.m., focusing on trends in the employee experience and recommendations on lowing turnover to improve business results, presented by Paul Tiedt, VP of Research for Service Management Group
We also realize this is a financially stressful time, so we are happy to offer our virtual events at no cost.
Finally, please take care of yourselves. Take this situation and recommendations by our local officials seriously - Stay at home!
We hope to see you soon.
P.S.: We are accepting Quills entries through April 10! Visit www.kciabc.com/quills for details.
