Area non-profits run on lean budgets. Our annual brainstorming session provides free and informal counsel to three local difference makers.
Kansas City has many wonderful nonprofits working to provide services and help those in need. But often these organizations are in need themselves, operating on lean budgets and without a dedicated communications or marketing staff.
This is where you come in. Your communications and marketing experience are needed for our annual brainstorming session to provide free and informal counsel to three local difference makers.
The Gift of Communications program is a KC/IABC tradition that has served dozens of local nonprofits. We invite three organizations to interact on their communications and marketing challenges and help brainstorm solutions to they can continue and expand their mission.
Join us to make a difference by sharing input with One Heart Project, United Inner City Services (UICS) and Mothers in Charge.
This is a virtual event. After registering, a link will be emailed to you the day before the event.
MEET THE ORGANIZATIONS
Mothers in Charge is a group of mothers, grandmothers and a caring community committed to working to prevent others from experiencing the tragedy of homicide, and to provide a wide range of services to families who have lost a loved one to homicide.
United Inner City Services (UICS) is recognized as one of Kansas City’s leading early learning programs. With three arts-focused early childhood education centers across the metro, UICS teaches the littlest learners, ages six weeks to five years old, in the most economically distressed ZIP codes in the Kansas City area.
One Heart Project is a comprehensive restorative juvenile justice solution, offering a second chance to at-risk and incarcerated youth through a collaborative effort that focuses on social and emotional intelligence education, one-on-one mentoring, life skills training, employment and re-entry services for youth between the ages of 13-19.
We hope you can join us for this evening of giving back. After all, it’s better to give than to receive!
