Help Shape the Future of BCS: Volunteer to Lead the 2027 Business Communicators Summit

The 2026 Business Communicators Summit brought together communicators from across the Kansas City region for a day of learning, networking and inspiration. From insightful keynote speakers and practical breakout sessions to meaningful peer connections, the event demonstrated the value of a strong communications community and the impact of dedicated volunteers. 

As we look ahead, the KC IABC board of directors is seeking a chapter member to serve as the 2027 Business Communicators Summit Chair.

This leadership volunteer role is a unique opportunity to shape our chapter's signature event while expanding your professional network and event management experience. The chair works closely with a committee and board members to guide the event from vision to execution, including developing the event theme, securing speakers, coordinating food and beverage, managing the event schedule, collaborating on sponsorships and promotions, and overseeing day-of logistics. Following the event, the chair also helps gather attendee feedback to support future planning.

You won't do it alone. The coordinator is supported by an engaged committee and KC IABC board members who work together to bring the summit to life.
