Volunteers needed! Where can you help out?
Call for volunteers – your talents and time are needed to help KC IABC offer the most value to members and prospective members.
You do not have to be a member to volunteer for any of the following. Check out our many opportunities and let us know your area of interest!
Help with registration at our monthly meetings and stay for the event. You’ll benefit from the program and meet everyone as they come in. You don’t have to be a member and it’s a once-a-month commitment. We meet at various venues around Kansas City and you’d need to arrive at 11:15 a.m. for lunch or 7:45 a.m. for breakfast. Contact Roy Harryman to volunteer.
Monthly lunch or breakfast programs sponsored by KC IABC provide excellent opportunities for professional development on a wide variety of topics that are crucial for communicators. Help is needed to select topics, line up speakers and venues, coordinate communications, etc. Please contact Stephanie Morris if you can assist with this important task.
Photographers and bloggers needed
If you have a way with words or with a camera, we need ongoing help. We need photographers to shoot our monthly meetings and events, including our special interest groups.
We have an active blog on the home page of our website, kciabc.com. We are looking for bloggers to write short entries on any topic of interest to communicators. It can be an observation from a meeting you attended at IABC or another professional organization; or a commentary on a topic that relates to communications, leadership, technology, etc. We prefer short blog posts – just a few hundred words will do the job. Please contact Elaine Symanski to volunteer.
General ongoing volunteer needs
Contact Roy Harryman to volunteer for any of the following:
- List maintenance and clean up.
- Student outreach.
- Member appreciation events.
Not sure where your talents would be put to the best use? Contact Roy Harryman and he will help you find a spot where you can make a difference in the success of KC IABC during the coming months.
