The Marketing Coordinator at The Roasterie assists in creation and implementation of strategies across many of The Roasterie’s most important brand touch points: email, social, website, cause marketing and outside events.

Primarily, this role is responsible for implementing and reporting on the success of marketing and brand promotions in digital channels including email, social media and ecommerce.

Secondarily, this role will own and coordinate special events and sponsorship opportunities.

Primary Relationships

The position reports to the Project Manager who sits on the executive team. The role also collaborates with the café management, sales team, and graphics team to implement brand strategies across various channels.

Principle Accountabilities


Create email group segments based on sign-up method (and if possible, purchase behavior).

Collaborate with sales, public relations, and website company to create monthly email communication plan for each segment by the 15th of each month. Plan for min. 1 email/week per segment.

Once email communication plan is approved: program, test and schedule emails.

Set up A/B tests to test the effectiveness of email communication.

Monitor and pull email results (sign-ups, views, clicks, offer redemptions, profitability, etc.); add to monthly digital report – to be developed by Suzanne


Manage all web updates including adding new products, making updates to content or products and setting products as “out of stock.”

Monitor and pull web results (views, sales, discounts, etc.).

Use Google Analytics to test different views and web sales tools to increase online web traffic & sales.

Community Events/Sponsorships/ Donations

Coordinate “Bean Team” staff for off-site event – ensure that the team, product and marketing materials are in place to maximize all off-site sponsorships/ events.

Measure success of events to help track ROI. Report on impressions, interactions, prospective customer data collected, etc.

Building relationships with people in the community and our selected partners.

Social Media

Responsible for social media across all social outlets. Create and monitor posts focusing 80% on our customers and 20% on Roasterie and Roaterie Cafes.

Promote effective use of social media throughout The Roasterie and collaborate with staff and other internal resources.

Product development, launch, and ongoing product promotion

Work with President , Project Manager, and Creative Director to create and execute product roll out plans.

Coordinate with in house graphics designer for materials and assets.


Up to three years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success.

Preferred experience in marketing coordination preferred.

Self-motivated, goals-driven, disciplined and detail-oriented.

Possess confidence, a professional and enthusiastic attitude, and great communication skills.

Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Marketing preferred.
